Hey all! Does anybody have any Mech MOC's you'd like featured on the Mecha subtheme page? Main stipulation is that it has to be a piloted vehicle with legs.

Anyone here built one of their own? If so, post it and let's have a look!
I have done three of them myself, but unfortunately they are long gone (and were never photographed). My first was a Spaceman Spiff garage/landing bay; next was Chess Arena; after that, of course, a Saloon. Working on this page makes me want to take another run at them.

There has been a Madame Hooch and an Umbridge minifig made. Hooch is in Quiditch practice and Umbridge is in the lastest Castle. Also there is two different times a Peeves the ghost has been included in a set. One of the castles and in Snapes classroom.
Love this website!

...and what a good way to suck up to the right people. :P Did you recently purchase some of those exclusive sets...the Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, or Market Street? Those are awesome sets and carry some of the same ideas you're using here. (expensive though)

I was totally thinking of doing a floating rock for the February competition, but instead went with the Escherian sculpture. Ah well. I shall have to do one sometime in the future. (Even more reason for me to stock up on transparent bricks and poles.)

Here's a new thread! Ok everybody...the beginning of Summer has been pretty weak for BrickiWiki. I've been sliping into a temperature induced dark-age and don't know what to do to stop it. So, to try and increase a little enthusiasm for this wiki, I'm going to ask all of you a question. What features would you like to see on BrickiWiki? For starters, I really want to develop a "Techniques" section where we can display and discuss some of our radical building techniques in an effort to improve the overall building skill of BrickiWiki members. So, give it up...what LEGO related feature would you like to see on your favorite wiki?

I recently purchased a bulk lot of Legos, and I noticed that some pieces definitely looked different than the rest. The "Lego" embossed on the studs was noticeably smaller, and on some, it was nearly worn off. Some thin white pieces have a pattern of squares on the underside instead of the usual circles. Does anyone know how I can find out how old these pieces are, and if they are particularly collectible?

Nice theme. The best thing about vigs is that they're contained as far as size and scope are concerned -- a true exercise in creativity within a small space (like Lego haiku). They're also comparatively easy to photograph, which is always a bonus for me... :-)
Is that Iwo Jima vig one of yours? Nice. Another fine example of what *could* (ahem) have been done for last month's challenge...

Those vignettes are excellent! If you feel like making more, please do and hopefully it will encourage everyone else to get out their lego bricks!
According to the official Brickiwiki challenge rules you should only have one official entry, but it would be great if you submit a few others. I especially like the milkshake one - it's just the right kind of humour for a vignette!

...That minifig you made for me looked a littel school-teacher-ish. ;-) I had to make it a little more appropriate...I'm much more likely to have flip-flops, camoflauge shorts, and a comic-book type t-shirt on. I was able to do most of this on the Mini-Mizer program, but I had to help it out a little...

First off, thanks to Alex & Brandon for getting their submission in and making this a competition!
This month's winner is (after much back-and forthing): Almaxr! This was a pretty tough one to call -- I like the look of Alex's rover a lot, and have to tip my hat to Brandon's last-minute PhotoShopping work. Extra points for making sure the rover's dish was pointed at Earth. In the end, the scales were tipped by Almaxr's extra clever choice of topic, buoyed by the actual historical research he put into it to get as much accuracy as possible. (The relative direction of the plane, the ship's heading, and the morning light coming from the east are all correct!) Very nicely done. Kudos to our three entrants! After two months in the judge's chair, I'm looking forward to building again...
